I consider martial art and physical fitness training as a lifestyle and way of life.
My Approach to Training Helps Guide You to Consciously Live a More Active, Healthy and Responsible Life. My Martial Arts Training Philosophy is Based on Uniting a Solid Foundation of Movement with a Practical Understanding of Effective Technique. In my martial arts training I incorporate elements that are fundamental to all martial art styles. My belief is that a strong foundation of technical basics is the most important aspect of learning and progression. My focus is on integrating your entire body through developing strength from your center and beyond. You will increase muscle tone, improve your posture, increase your flexibility, and maximize your whole-body fitness level. I offer private individualized instruction and small-group sessions in the following areas: Physical Fitness & Conditioning, Self-Defense, Traditional Martial Art Training. Since 2002, I have been offering private instruction in Self-Defense. Since 2007 I have offered private training for physical fitness and conditioning. Born in Bangkok, Thailand in August 1976, I have dedicated over 23 years training in the martial arts. I first began training in western-style boxing as a youth, as my father was an amateur boxing champion in Rangoon, Burma during the 1950s. In High School I was a competitive foil fencer. I trained at the Fencer's Club on W. 71st Street in NYC, through the Peter Westbrook Foundation, and also competed in high school competitions along with United States Fencing Association competitions. During my senior year of high school I captained the Laguardia H.S. Fencing team and was awarded an Athletic Achievement Award. I also began my Aikido training as a teenager, and in 1996 was accepted by Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei to be an Uchi-Deshi (live-in student) at his dojo, the New York Aikikai, on West 18th Street in NYC; I moved into the dojo in January of 1997. I lived and trained at New York Aikikai from the ages of 20-22. I am no longer associated with New York Aikikai. I train Daily, 7 days a week & teach private lessons and 2 group sessions a week at Moving Body Resources in New York City.
